This little application will record everything your computer speakers hear. It records audio from streaming programs from Real Player, Windows, QuickTime... if your speakers hear it Audio Recorder Gold records it! I really like the easy editor. You'll have a slew of different sample rates and bit depth choices, too. Other handy features include a Click and Crackle filter for vinyl records, noise filter for cassettes, and a "response time" setting which is an adjustable buffer you can use on computers with less processor power. No matter what other audio recorders you may have, for basic audio recording this is the best I've found yet.

I bought Audio Recorder Gold on Sunday, and had to write and say what a superb product it is. I only recently got interested in the possibility of recording/playing/editing/burning MP3 and Wma files, when I started looking for suitable software, that it was going to cost a small fortune. When I saw Audio Recorder Gold advertised I guessed it was going to be fairly limited, but at the price I thought it was worth getting, if only to learn what I really needed.
